HireHunch
2024 - 2026
Software Development Engineer
  • Delivered the JusRecruit MVP in 3 months - ATS, phone-screening and a marketing site that onboarded the first customers.
  • Shipped 10+ large production features including white-labeling and real-time streaming.
  • 35% fewer support tickets. 99% uptime. 60% faster deploys. Owned the full front-end AWS stack with Sentry.
Taal Tech India Pvt. Ltd.
2018 - 2022
Senior Stress Engineer
  • Delivered 5+ structural engineering projects for aerospace clients under strict deadline and quality constraints.
  • Mentored engineers and led cross-functional collaboration across clients and technical teams.
  • Contributed to internal automation tooling improvements - a hands-on encounter that set the direction toward software engineering.

Principles

Engineering Beliefs

How I think about the craft.

01
You can't fully understand frontend without backend.
Learning how data is structured and served changed how I think about state management. Most frontend complexity is just a symptom of what's happening underneath.
02
Frontend without a system gets ugly fast.
Most people treat frontend as assembly. I treat it as architecture - which is why I studied backend system design.
03
Shipping broken code is lying to your users.
Users feel broken experiences. That's enough reason to delay a release and own the fix.
04
If you can't explain it, it shouldn't merge.
Over-engineered state, 20-prop components, utilities nobody dares touch - these are clarity failures before they're technical ones.
05
The fastest code is the code you never ship.
Every dependency has a maintenance cost and a bundle cost. The best abstraction is often the one you didn't write.
06
Principles evolve. That's the point.
I used to believe in moving fast and fixing bugs later. Production taught me otherwise. The best engineers I know hold their beliefs firmly and update them often.
Notes

Engineering Notes

Short observations from the work.

Avoid useMemo until profiling shows you need it. Premature memoization obscures intent without improving performance.
Component boundaries are API design. The props you expose today are the constraints you live with tomorrow.
The fastest code is the code you never ship. Every abstraction has a carrying cost.
Accessibility compounds. Fix the focus order once, and keyboard users benefit on every page, forever.
Bundle size is a UX metric. A 300kb JS payload is a slow experience on a real device.

Always interested in well-engineered systems.

If you're building something interesting, I'd like to hear about it.
